Week 10 - Splining shot 3
Saturday, 05 September 2009

I'm back! Holidays are over, I'm a slightly lesser shade of "monitor-white", my French is slightly less forgotten than it was, and as ever there's animation to show. So, here's the current state of my final shot now that it's been splined up and polished a bit. I've got one more week to polish it some more and make it "just so" (imagine that bit said with an outrageous French accent). Although now that Avatar's hit crunch and we're onto 6-day weeks to get the damn thing finished, I have absolutely no idea where I'll find the time!...

Week 7 - Polishing shot 2
Saturday, 15 August 2009

Howdy y'all! Some of you might be wondering where last week's submission go to. Well, to put it frankly, I wielded the editorial pen of doom . Last week's submission was a little rushed due to various time constraints (including a cosy AM social gathering in Hyde Park, which was great and filled with frisbee goodness). So rather than posting rubbish up, I decided to wait til this week so I could show it all nice and purtified. Believe me, you aren't missing anything, it really was quite a mess... This week I took a bit more time and care to do things nicely, and this is the result, one finalled shot. One more shot to go and then class three is finished!

(BTW, I'm on holiday for the next two weeks - I'll try my best to post something up, but whether I succeed really depends on what the local internet connections are like... If you don't hear from me, expect a bumper crop of updates on my return!)

Week 5 - Polishing shot 1 and starting shot 2
Saturday, 01 August 2009

Well since I didn't get round to posting up last week's work, you're all in for a double-dose this week lucky readers Let's do this in chronological order; first the final polishing of shot 1:

I'm mostly happy with it; there's a few things I didn't have time to fix, but I'm starting to get used to that feeling... Now, something much more exciting: the long awaited unveiling of the block for my second shot this class!
